In case you were wondering, the map below does account for the new submerged central artery, the effects of which will make Boston the greatest "walking city" in the world. As it is depicted on the map, only the 120-wide Fort Point Channel separates South Boston and Downtown Boston. There aren’t many places in the world where you can have a front door on the Atlantic Ocean and a backyard with grass, and commute only a mile to a forty-story office building.
